About Monteeno

Monteeno was created to give young people practical financial knowledge before they begin making important financial decisions for themselves.

Why Monteeno exists

Young people encounter increasingly complex financial decisions as they move through secondary school and into work or further education.

Monteeno turns those topics into a structured programme designed around UK financial life: earning and budgeting, saving and banking, borrowing and debt, tax and student finance, scams and insurance, investing and longer-term planning. The material is built for pupils aged 11–18 and gets progressively more advanced as they get older.

Our principles

UK-focused financial education

Pounds, UK banking, UK tax basics and UK student finance, rather than material written for another country.

Practical rather than product-led

We teach how money works and how decisions are made, not which product to buy.

No advertising to pupils

Pupils are not shown advertising while they are learning.

No financial product sales

Monteeno does not sell investments, credit or any other financial product to pupils.
